Inside Of A Boat

Customize Refit

When the bus came to us, it was an empty shell with a lot of ideas. The electrical design was first with the heart of it being a 700 AH lithium ion battery pack wired at 48 volts charged with a 3600 watt solar array on articulating roof frames. With a Schneider custom built charge controller/inverter and two DC to DC converters we were able to supply the bus with 48V native, 24V and 12V DC converted power, as well as 120v and 240V AC inverted power meeting all system demands.

Roof

The roof was raised 18” with curved glass installed for the forward fixed windows. A boiler system providing radiant in-floor heat as well as all domestic needs went under the bus aft along with new potable, grey, and black water tankage. These were put in reinforced boxes on 48V heating pads for cold climate usage.

Interior

The interior is Awlfair over plywood troweled to give it a cob type finish, then Awlgrip coating for color. The interior woodwork is antique heart pine giving it the warm glow throughout. The galley as well as the use of grain direction developing patterns throughout reflects the client’s inspiration for unique designs which we were pleased to execute for him.
